Our Origins

For those of you who’ve navigated to this page, here is a bit of the backstory behind KlarBio.

My journey to life science marketing

Storytelling was my entry to marketing. I started writing scientific blogs during my undergraduate studies and dove headfirst into the world of digital marketing after my master’s studies, instead of pursuing a career in academia or industry.

During those formative years, I built websites, email nurture sequences, designed infographics, wrote blog articles, built lists, and sold digital products within the consumer healthcare space.

Establishing a career in Sweden

In 2022, I moved across the Atlantic to Sweden, where I began working with clients including Miltenyi Biotec, to support various communication projects.

From 2023 to 2026, I was employed at 3 different life science companies, including a hardware manufacturer in the bioprocessing market, a contract research organization, and a software company. My most recent role was “scientific and product marketing manager” where I determined the positioning of a flagship product and helped train the sales team on messaging.

The marketing skills gap in B2B life science

From the 17 companies I have worked with, I have learned that it is rare for one person to understand product, science, business, and be creative, but there is value in this unique hybrid skillset.

I have provided matrixed leadership in recent roles, defined as aligning and guiding stakeholders in a larger project towards the end goal, by speaking fluently across various levels of the organization.

I identify most strongly as a marketer, but I am a commercial leader more broadly, and my goal is to transport scale ups from small, unknown firms to thought leaders in their space.

Why KlarBio exists

Biotech and life science tools companies are under pressure. There are often changes within these organizations that require agility. I have found that standard commercial roles do not fill the gaps within ever-changing organizations doing under €100 million a year in revenue.

I started KlarBio because the companies I work with need tailored services, not just some advertising here and some strategy workshops there, but an approach that meets them where they’re at.
